Applications Invited for Library Attendant/Helpers on Temporary/Casual Basis
The Rumi Library, Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora has invited applications for the post of Library Attendant/Helpers on a temporary/casual basis for a period of one year. The university is looking to hire seven candidates who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
Eligibility Criteria
The essential qualification for the post of Library Attendant/Helpers is 10+2 in any stream. The age of the applicant should be as per the norms.
Terms and Conditions
The engagement shall be purely on a casual basis, initially for a period of one year and shall not confer any right whatsoever on the prospective appointee to claim continuation or otherwise. The appointed candidates shall be bound to act in conformity with the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and Rules of the University as well as a code of professional ethics as prescribed or may come into force. The appointee should be able to join immediately.
The appointed candidates shall be utilized for multi-tasking purposes, such as book picking, dusting, or any other work as desired by the authorities. The appointees may have to attend duties on nights, weekends, and holidays as well. However, they shall be duly compensated during other working days.
The consolidated salary of the appointee shall be Rs. 13,000/- per month. The continuation of the service up to the agreement period shall be based on the performance of the appointees. The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts advertised. No TA/DA shall be paid for appearing in the interview.

Interested candidates should report to the office of the Librarian, Rumi Library, Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora along with all relevant documents in original and a set of Xerox copies (self-attested) for the interview on 12-04-2023 at 11.00 a.m. Candidates should report to the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time for scrutiny of documents.
