JKPSC Assistant Professor (AP) Recruitment 2023: Check Everything You Need to Know

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has invited online applications from candidates who are domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for the post of Assistant Professor(s)/Librarian/PTI for Government College of Engineering & Technology in Higher Education Department. The recruitment will be conducted in accordance with the Jammu & Kashmir Government Engineering Colleges (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules of 2017 and the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (Business and Procedure) Rules, 2021 as amended up-to-date.

Important Dates and Points to Remember
The application form, along with instructions for filling it up, will be available on the JKPSC website from 05.04.2023. Candidates should read the instructions and eligibility conditions carefully before filling out the online application form. Candidates should update their One Time Registration before filling the application form.
The last date for filling out the online application form, along with the requisite fee (online mode only), is 04.05.2023. The last date for receipt of online applications mentioned in the notification will be the cut-off date for determining eligibility regarding acquisition of Domicile Certificates and educational and professional qualifications.
The minimum and maximum age will be reckoned with reference to 1st January 2023.
Candidates can edit some of the fields in their online application form from 05.05.2023 to 07.05.2023. Candidates are not required to submit a hard copy of the application form or any other documents to the Commission. Candidates are advised to submit their online applications well in advance of the closing date to avoid disconnection, inability to pay fees, or failure to log in to the online application portal due to heavy traffic on the website during the closing days.
Reservation
Candidates seeking consideration under a reserved category must possess a valid requisite Category certificate on the cut-off date. The candidature will be provisional until the genuineness of the reserved category certificate is verified by the Appointing Authority. Candidates should note that if they make a claim for reservation on the basis of a false/fake/fraudulent certificate, they will be debarred from participating in the selection process conducted by the J&K Public Service Commission, and may face other penal actions as deemed appropriate. They will also not have to pay any fee again.
Domicile
Candidates should be domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format. Certificates issued after the last date for submission of the online application form will not be entertained.
JKPSC Application Requisite Fee
After successful submission of the online application form, candidates must deposit the requisite fee through online mode. The fee amounts are as follows:

Date of birth certificate (secondary School/Matric Certificate) Domicile Certificate of the UT of J&K. Graduation Degree. PG Degree certificate. NET/SET/SLET/PhD (any one)
Applicants claiming benefits under a particular category should also upload the following mandatory documents:
Category Certificate (01 leaf) Disability certificate. In-service certificate signed by HOD Documents for which the candidate is claiming weightage as per J&K (Business and Procedure) Rules, 2021:
M.Phil certificate along with result Notification Ph.D. degree SET/SLET/NET/JRF Experience Certificates, as per format-up to 05 lvs.
